Nordmann partner PMC Organometallix, the world’s leading manufacturer of organometallic stabilizers and specialty chemicals,  has significantly expanded its distribution territory with Nordmann in Europe.

PMC Organometallix heat stabilizers are produced in Lansdale, PA (USA). Nordmann distributes these products in 16 European countries.

In addition to Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Nordmann is now supplying 13 other European countries with heat stabilizers from PMC. Organotin stabilizers are added to polyvinyl chloride (PVC) and chlorinated polyvinyl chloride (CPVC) compounds as heat stabilizers to preserve the polymeric structure and properties of these vinyl resins as they are manufactured into finished articles. This makes them attractive to customers from various sectors, including the electrical and construction industries as well as the automotive, food and pharmaceutical fields.

PMC Organometallix: Market leader with high growth potential

PMC is the only fully integrated producer of tin chemicals in the world. Its flagship manufacturing facility in Carrollton, Kentucky (USA) is one of the largest of its kind, producing its own methyltin intermediates. Octyltin and butyltin intermediates are sourced from PMC’s JV plant in Mobile, Alabama. The Carrollton plant features its own development laboratories and a large pilot plant facility that allows for new products to be developed directly on-site.

PMC Organometallix has excellent solutions for rigid and cellular PVC formulations. The company’s Center for Vinyl Innovation (CVI) is based in Lansdale, Pennsylvania and offers customers a range of
technical services and state-of-the-art analytical equipment for applications development with both PVC and CPVC resins.

Two of PMC’s leading brands are its ADVASTAB® and Thermolite® organotin heat stabilizers for PVC and CPVC resin-based formulations. These serve as antioxidants that protect PVC materials from thermal degradation during the manufacturing process and ensure an improved functional structure capable of resisting UV degradation after curing. The stabilizers also improve the usability and recyclability of finished products and, thanks to their low migration tendency, they are recommended for use in packaging materials for both food and pharmaceuticals.
