Sustainable resin solutions for composites
INEOS Composites has gone to great lengths to obtain a usable raw material for resin production from the two raw materials soy and polyethylene terephthalate = PET. For every barrel of AROPOL™ PT resin, for example, more than 1,800 PET bottles are recycled, saving significant resources and energy. Among other things, this makes it possible to reduce the CO2 footprint by up to 30% with the same or even better technical properties than polyester resins based on fossil raw materials.

Up to 40% of the renewable raw material soy is used, which also leads to a significant reduction in the CO2 footprint. In the near future, both methods will be combined to achieve the major goal of a 90% CO2 reduction. AROPOL™ PT and ENVIREZ™ resins are already available for almost all applications.
