Wanhua Chemical: innovative, sustainable and diverse

Wanhua Chemical is one of the world’s leading manufacturers of chemical raw materials, offering a comprehensive range of products that features thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), polycarbonate (PC), polymethyl-methacrylate (PMMA), polyolefin elastomers (POE), and the newest addition PEBA. The Nordmann partner recently added several new sustainable products to its portfolio, including recycled PC and bio-based varieties of TPU.

Wanthane® TPU

Wanthane® TPU is a high-performance product also known for its excellent flexibility, durability and abrasion resistance. It is especially well-suited for flame-retardant applications, as Wanthane® TPU can be used to create specialized formulations that reduce flammability and improve fire resistance. As a result, Wanthane® TPU is often used to meet the strict fire safety requirements for applications in electronics, motor vehicles, railways and construction.

Being committed to sustainability, Wanhua also has innovative, bio-based TPU’s made from renewable raw materials in its portfolio. These offer a sustainable alternative to traditional petrochemical materials, delivering high-performance solutions with lower carbon footprints.

Clarnate® PC and Recycled PC

Clarnate® PC is a high-performance polycarbonate that excels in outstanding transpareny, impact resistance and heat resistance. Ideal for demanding applications in the automotive, electronics and optic industries, Clarnate® offers versatile and powerful solutions.

Additional to this Waneco® is an innovative product line of recycled PC that Wanhua Chemical reclaims from water bottles, plastic panels, car headlight covers and CDs. This means Waneco® helps reduce CO² emissions and plastic waste while conserving natural resources. Waneco® products are ideal for a wide range of applications such as electronic casings, LED lights and automotive parts.

Waneco® products can be manufactured using up to 100% post-consumer Recycling material (PCR), certified according to UL 2809 and Global Recycled Standard (GRS) criteria. This means they meet the highest standards for sustainability while delivering a high level of transparency and mechanical properties that are very close to those of Clarnate®.

Acryplas® PMMA

PMMA is a high-quality and transparent plastic that is often used as a substitute for glass. It boasts excellent light transmission and weather resistance, making it an ideal material for use in construction and automotive applications. PMMA also features outstanding scratch resistance and UV stability.

Wansuper® POE

Wansuper® offer an impressive combination of elasticity and tensile strength as well as chemical, weathering and temperature resistance, making them an ideal choice for demanding applications that require high levels of performance and durability. For these reasons, they are popular in a number of different sectors – including the automotive, solar, packaging and electronics industries.

Wanelite® PEBA

Wanelite® is the latest development from Wanhua. This Polyamid‑12 elastomer is the result of Wanhua’s independent research and development, featuring low density, lower water absorption compared to other Polyamids easy processing and excellent flexibility at low temperatures. As the second supplier worldwide to fully incorporate the PEBA industry chain, Wanhua strives to provide the best access to advanced materials.

Success through innovation and customer focus

With production facilities and research centers across the globe, including locations in China, North America and Europe, Wanhua continuously invests in research and development to respond to the needs of its customers and ensure the highest quality standards.
