INCI:C12-13 Alkyl Lactate
lactic acid ester, a strong emollient with a slightly keratolytic effect, a solubilizer, in detergent cosmetics it works similarly to Cocamide DEA, COSMACOL® ELI is a versatile polar emollient, suitable for both washing and skin care preparations. This ester has a certain characteristic effect for lactic acid - mildly keratolytic and moisturizing, suitable for all skin types, from dry to oily.
COSMACOL® ELI has a thickening effect on SLES/Betaine systems and has an anti-irritant effect. It can be used for all types of cosmetics, including lines for delicate and atopic skin.
COSMACOL® ELI is an ingredient that gently reduces odor, which allows the use of smaller amounts of substances with such an effect in antiperspirants and deodorants.
COSMACOL® ELI is also used as a wetting and dispersing ingredient in make-up.
