Under this partnership, Nordmann will become the exclusive source for a range of WACKER's silicone elastomers, including high consistency rubber, liquid silicone rubber, and related additives. These products, marketed under the esteemed WACKER brands ELASTOSIL^®, POWERSIL^®, and SILPURAN^®, are known for their superior performance and reliability in various applications.

ELASTOSIL®

Nordmann distributes WACKER's silicone rubber grades, composed of silicone polymers and fillers, which cure at high temperature (HCR/LSR grades) to form elastomeric rubber. They remain flexible in cold, resist heat and aging (UV and ozone), and are easy to process. With stable mechanical properties across a wide temperature range, they have a neutral taste and are biologically inert.

POWERSIL®

POWERSIL® is a range of specialty silicones for power transmission and distribution, including fluids for transformers and pastes. The rubber grades offer lasting water repellency, resistance to leakage currents, erosion, and high and low temperature flexibility, making them ideal for coastal and desert climates.

SILPURAN®

The SILPURAN® product line includes liquid silicone rubber (LSR). These premium silicone rubber grades are designed to meet the rigorous requirements of the health care industry. All products have successfully passed selected ISO 10993 and USP Class VI tests, ensuring compliance with stringent safety standards.

Nordmann is an internationally successful chemical distribution group, with 540 employees and a turnover of around 550 million euros. Through our 24 subsidiary companies in Europe, Asia and North America, we distribute natural and chemical raw materials, additives and speciality chemicals. Founded in 1912, we remain an independent, family-run business.

What is the expertise of Nordmann for silicone elastomers?

Nordmann is a well-established and highly experienced partner for silicone elastomers.

Nordmann acts as distribution partner of silicone elastomers (LSR, HCR, Additives) and independent compounder of (fluoro) silicone rubber.

Why does WACKER transfer its current business relation to Nordmann?

With our technical and commercial excellence and long-standing history in the rubber / elastomers industry Nordmann is a professional and strategic distributor. After careful consideration WACKER has concluded that your current business with WACKER products will best be served by Nordmann in the future.

When can I reach out to my Nordmann representative?

From April 1, 2025, Nordmann will be your main contact for day-to-day administration and will be committed to maintaining a reliable supply of products. The aim is to ensure a smooth transition while maintaining the high standards of service and quality you have come to expect from WACKER and Nordmann. However, please feel free to contact us at any time for basic administrative clarification in preparation for our future relationship. Orders with a requested delivery date from April 1, 2025 can be placed with Nordmann from March 1, 2025.

What is happening with orders already placed at WACKER?

In general, your current business relationship with WACKER will remain unchanged until March 31, 2025. However, WACKER will no longer be able to accept orders for delivery after this date. We therefore ask you to place your orders with Nordmann from March 1, 2025.

Which WACKER products will Nordmann offer and where?

Nordmann has full access to all products for high consistency rubber, liquid silicone rubber and related additives currently sold in Europe under the WACKER brands ELASTOSIL®, POWERSIL® and SILPURAN®. For a detailed list of countries where Nordmann can sell the material, please refer to the Nordmann contact list above.

Is Nordmann able to assist with technical inquiries for both existing and new projects?
