Exquisite carob products from Morocco

Morocco is the world's largest carob cultivation area, supplying over 40% of the global supply. Nordmann partner Carob Ingredients operates several production facilities in Morocco and produces three different categories of raw materials there, which are explained in more detail below.

Roasted Carob Powder - RCP (cocoa substitute)

Thanks to its organoleptic properties, high sugar content and cost-effectiveness, roasted carob powder is a natural cocoa substitute. It can be obtained from the dried pods of the carob tree. Carob Ingredients produces light, medium and dark roasts. These are ideal for use in fine baked goods or cocoa drinks.

Locust bean gum-VISCOGUM™

Locust bean gum (locust bean gum E 410) is a natural food additive known for its thickening and stabilizing properties as well as water-binding capacity. It is widely used in the food industry, for example in ice cream, salad dressings, sausage products and pastries. Carob Ingredients also offers LBG-VISCOGUM™ in organic quality.

VISCOGUM™ CGP

VISCOGUM™ CGP is a natural, vegetable protein flour with a balanced amino acid profile similar to that of soy. It has a protein content of between 40 % and 50 % and has emulsifying properties. Carob Ingredients obtains the flour from the seeds of the carob tree. The flour is gently steam-sterilized to achieve the highest food quality and maintain the protein profile. VISCOGUM™ CGP is 100% natural, gluten-free and non-GMO. The product is used in a wide range of foods, including meat alternatives, desserts, drinks and food supplements.
