IMERYS: No future mobility without conductive carbon black
Meet us in Hall 9, Booth 9-101
Nordmann will soon be attending the next DKT, a major expo for the international rubber industry. From 1-4 July, the company will be hosting a booth there together with partners Cancarb, Daikin, Ergon, Shenzhen Guanheng and Imerys.
We would like to take the opportunity and introduce our co-exhibitors in detail!
Imerys Graphite & Carbon’s carbon black manufacturing process was developed in 1980 and has been used commercially since 1982. Based on the partial oil oxidation of carbochemical and petrochemical raw materials, what sets Imerys Graphite & Carbon’s methods apart from other partial combustion carbon blacks technologies are the aerodynamic and thermodynamic conditions.
What results is a material that leaves behind almost no residue on a 325 mesh sieve and features the highest possible levels of purity. The granulation process has been developed to achieve a consistent and homogeneous product that maintains outstanding dispersibility and very low crushing strength, guaranteeing the absence of larger and harder agglomerates. Both low- and very high-surface area conductive carbon blacks can be produced.
Products
ENSACO® is a product family of state-of-the-art conductive carbon blacks that are ideal for supporting demanding conductive applications using all types of rubber, including fluoroelastomers and silicones. ENSACO® products can be utilized to make profiles, seals, fuel hoses, drive belts, wire and cable components and accessories. Imerys’ patented manufacturing process allows for the controlled production of extremely clean conductive carbon blacks that extremely strict purity requirements and feature minimal metallic impurities, sulphur, ash, PAH, soluble substances and moisture. Due to their low surface oxygen levels, too, products in the ENSACO® family show little inhibition during peroxide crosslinking and are also very suitable for platinum-cured silicone because of their low sulphur and metallic impurity content.
Robert Karlic (Senior Technical Sales & Product Manager at Nordmann):
"DKT: I’m loving it! I’m really looking forward to seeing all of our customers, business partners and rubber enthusiasts again, as well as meeting new “family members” of the rubber industry. I can’t wait to welcome everyone to our stand and exchange ideas."
Eric Lachenait (Director of Sales Europe, Imerys Graphite & Carbon Division):
"We are excited to join Nordmann at their booth and showcase our portfolio of high-performance sustainable carbon for conductive rubbers. We look forward to meeting our customers there and discussing their needs!"
