Nordmann at the European Coatings Show 2025: A look back
The focus of Nordmann and its partners was on new products and sustainable solutions.
Ergon International presented its innovative range of naphthenic specialty oils, known for their low pour points, exceptional solvency, low odor and excellent color stability. These oils are also available as ISSC+ certified materials for sustainable sourcing. Recycled NuovoPrene products, bio-based EcoPrene materials and vegetable oils that serve as sustainable alternatives to conventional mineral oil products were also introduced.

Honeywell presented, on the one hand, the improved performance profile of adhesives. The A-C® and ACumist® polyethylene and polypropylene waxes and Cohesa® emulsions are designed to improve the performance of adhesive formulations, enhance processing and increase the value of end products. On the other hand, Honeywell showcased NduroMatt™, a state-of-the-art, multifunctional polymer-based additive. The additive offers unique benefits for formulators looking for new matting agents for surface finishing.
Sustainability was a top priority for co-exhibitor Olin®: the company presented innovative epoxy blends with the product designations D.E.R.® 3111 and D.E.R.® 3561, which comply with new labeling regulations for reactive diluents. In addition, the epoxy dispersion D.E.R.® 915, combined with the newly developed hardener D.E.H.® 828EU, has virtually no VOC content and protects metallic objects from corrosion, increasing their life cycle.
Nordmann partner SNCZ was pleased to introduce its innovative range of environmentally friendly zinc phosphate-based pigments: the Novinox ACE products. These anti-corrosion pigments are based on patented ACE technology, offer high performance and are compatible with both solvent-based and water-based formulations.
Another important focus of ECS 2025 was Nordmann’s own brands. The NORRHEO additives are used for rheology control in solvent-based and solvent-free systems for the coatings industry. NORRHEO organosilicates increase viscosity at low shear rates and anti-settling behaviour. Beyond that, NORSTAR E6 PRO, an innovative, highly effective starch ether of the latest generation for the construction industry, is suitable to produce high-quality tile adhesives in accordance with DIN EN 12004. In addition to its proven good workability and high slip resistance, NORSTAR E6 PRO allows the open time of tile adhesives to be extended by 15%, in some formulations even by up to 25%.
Nordmann has been represented at the ECS for over 30 years. This year was no exception, with the event once again being an extremely successful get-together for the industry. Many international colleagues from Nordmann's 24 subsidiaries were present in Nuremberg, making the trade fair a particular highlight. Direct contact and discussions with business partners and industry experts were a central part of the event and contributed significantly to the positive atmosphere.
Visitors could meet Nordmann and its partners at Stand 3-126 in hall 3 and find out about the latest developments and products.
