Polyurea coatings: Fast application, long-lasting performance
What is polyurea?
Polyurea is a thermoplastic polymer coating produced with isocyanates and amines. These materials react rapidly together and provide for outstanding adhesion to a number of different surfaces such as concrete, metal, wood and plastics. Polyurea coatings are also characterized by their exceptional resistance to chemical agents, abrasion, water and UV radiation. This makes them ideal for harsh and demanding environments.

Polyurea coatings
Polyurea coatings can be applied using spray guns temperatures of approximately 65° to 75° C. Thick layers can be achieved in only a single pass. Surfaces dry within just a few seconds, which is significantly faster than many other coating systems.
Benefits of polyurea systems
- Very good adhesion to mineral, metallic and plastic substrates
- Protection against moisture (100% waterproof) and high chemical resistance
- Flexibility, elasticity and very good abrasion resistance
- High-level thermal stability and minimal shrinkage
- Solvent-free
Multiple applications
- Industrial floor coatings: Due to their exceptional resistance to abrasion and chemicals, polyurea coatings are ideal for protecting industrial flooring in factories, warehouses and production facilities.
- Coatings for vehicles and automotive parts: The high degree of flexibility and resistance to environmental influences make polyurea coatings an ideal choice for protecting vehicle surfaces, truck beds and trailers.
- Waterproof coatings: Polyurea’s fast curing time makes it excellent for waterproof coatings on roofs, bridges, parking decks and other structures.
- Corrosion control: Outstanding adhesion and resistance to chemicals make polyurea coatings an effective solution preventing the corrosion of metal structures in marine environments, industrial plants, fuel tanks and other types of containers, pipework, sewage lines and manholes.
